Criminal Lawyers at SullivanBrill retained on Looting Case in Brooklyn

Posted By Joseph Sullivan || 7-Nov-2012

A 19 year old life long resident of Coney Island in Brooklyn was arrested and charged with Burglary and other related charges when a NYPD officer claims to have seen him coming out of a fruit stand that was severely damaged as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Nothing found on him was connected to the fruit stand and no one observed the new client stealing or damaging any property inside or outside the store. The Kings County DA's Office requested an exhorbitant bail - $100,000 - clearly sending a political message that the DA's office is tough on looting matters. However, the lack of evidence may get in the way of their political agenda on this case.
