James Healy

James Healy joined Sullivan Brill in 2013 after receiving his J.D., summa cum laude, from Pace University School of Law. While in law school, James was Executive Articles Editor for Pace Law Review; a member of the National Moot Court team, where he was awarded best oralist in the Northeast region; and captain of the International Criminal Moot Court Team, which placed second in North America. In 2012, he was the Westchester County Above the Bar award winner for most promising law student, and the Dean's Award winner for outstanding achievement. In addition, James interned with the Honorable Kenneth Karas, district judge for the S.D.N.Y. and the Honorable Daniel Angiolillo, of the Appellate Division, Second Judicial Department Supreme Court of the State of New York. During law school, he gained valuable criminal law experience interning in the Manhattan and Westchester District Attorneys' Offices as well as the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York. Prior to attending law school, James received his B.A. from Columbia University.

James focuses his practice in the areas of criminal defense, complex issues of civil litigation, and appellate practice.
